Sherri Downs is married to Sylvester Downs III. She has two children, Malachi and Maddisyn Downs. Sherri discovered early on that teaching was her passion, and she has always been committed to educating in various capacities. She serves as a mentor, coach, and author to many and has supported and served her community in numerous roles, including but not limited to youth leadership, philanthropy, pastor's support, church administration, and co-pastor. Sherri has devoted twenty-four years to serving children and families as an early childhood educator and administrator.

Her entrepreneurial journey began at a young age—starting with a babysitting business at just 12 years old, followed by a snow removal business, and later a hair braiding business. Sherri Downs is the CEO and Founder of Touch Downs Enterprise LLC, a certified coaching and consulting firm. She is also the Founder of Annie’s Safe Haven (A.S.H.) Inc., a certified domestic violence advocacy agency committed to providing Healing, Oasis, Protection, and Empowerment (H.O.P.E.) to those affected by and vulnerable to domestic violence. Additionally, she is the founder of Sherri Downs Ministries.

For over twenty-six years, Sherri has empowered women through her teachings, leadership, and spiritual guidance. For the past ten years, she has hosted Women of Weight, a 3-day gathering that empowers women of all ages. Sherri is also an empowerment speaker, content creator, and the author of seven published works.
